Personal Training & Boot camps
Health & fitness for your lifestyle.
I started Best Lyfe Fitness in 2016 with a single bootcamp. Since then, I have expanded it to multiple bootcamps (public and private) and over 30 personal training clients.
My goal has always been to help people achieve their health and fitness goals in a realistic way, so that their results are sustainable. I’ll start with you right where you’re at and help you to set realistic weekly targets.
My core value is health, then fitness and aesthetics. Better fitness and looks are nothing without health. Thankfully, improved aesthetics (like increase muscle tone and fat loss) are beneficial side effects of improving your health. That said, body goals (like a flatter tummy or smaller legs) are greatly respected because when you feel you look great, you usually perform better in life.
At Best Lyfe Fitness, we learn to respect and appreciate our bodies, sometimes with gentleness and grace, and other times with grit and hard work. This is self care ♥
I am the brains (and trainer) behind Best Lyfe Fitness. Functional movement plus aesthetics is my jam. I have a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology (the science of movement) so I am keen on proper form so that my clients get maximal results from their exercises and reduce injury.
Prior to starting Best Lyfe Fitness, I worked at a physiotherapy clinic helping people to rehabilitate their injury from a car accident or work injury. I am certified in Level 1 Soft Tissue Release, Precision Nutrition Level 1, Chek Institute Lifestyle Coaching Level 1 and CrossFit Level 1.
My favourite exercises are squats and deadlifts. I love them because they are compound movements meaning that they activate numerous muscles and, for that reason, they’ll give you the most bang for your buck! I also love them because they make me feel pretty badass doing them!
I like to nerd out when it comes to health and fitness. One thing I’m particularly enamoured with is metabolic health. It is crucial for overall health, metabolism and fat loss. Since muscle mass is a great predictor of metabolic health (and longevity) and your legs and glutes make up the majority of the body’s muscle mass, working them will boost your metabolic health (i.e. metabolism, longevity, fat loss, curves, etc.). So, I never skip leg day (or glutes) and if you work with me, you won’t either!
Exercise is my focus when working with my clients, but I respects that nutrition, stress, sleep and our relationships play a large role in our quest to be better. As such, I take a holistic approach to helping my clients achieve their goals. So, I always include dietary and lifestyle support.
